3 Years of Another Vision: Celebrating Alex ElVíl, Patchouli Deep's First Radio Resident

From Buenos Aires to London. A story of music, connection and three years of dedication.

Some artists have been part of Patchouli Deep since the very beginning. Alex ElVíl is one of them.

Almost four years ago, before Patchouli Deep Radio even existed, PD founder AALEX was running a YouTube series called Deep Diamonds. The concept was simple: discover fresh sounds from the deeper side of electronic music and invite a different DJ each episode who shared that same musical vision.

That's how AALEX discovered Alex ElVíl, a DJ and producer from Buenos Aires, Argentina.

There was something about his musical taste that immediately connected with the vision behind Patchouli Deep. When the community radio launched, Alex became its very first resident.

Three years later, he's still here.

Another Vision: More Than Just a Radio Show

Created in 2020, Another Vision is Alex ElVíl's personal interpretation of electronic music.

The concept is built around a simple idea: every DJ has a unique way of telling a story through music.

Each episode brings together carefully selected productions from artists around the world, moving naturally between deep house, organic house, progressive house and ambient sounds.

There's no need to follow a formula. The music flows, evolves and creates its own atmosphere.

Whether dancing or simply sitting back and listening, Another Vision is about enjoying the journey.

Thousands of Miles Away, Always Part of the Family

Alex lives in Buenos Aires, thousands of miles from Patchouli Deep's home in London. Yet somehow, he's always felt close.

Over the years, he's been one of the most consistent supporters of the project. From radio shows to new community initiatives, Alex has always been there, contributing, participating and supporting the people around him.

He's watched Patchouli Deep grow from a small idea into the label, radio and international community it is today.

And through all those changes, one thing has remained constant: his presence.

It's a reminder that being a resident means more than having a monthly radio slot. It's about genuinely being part of something.

Three Years and Counting

As Alex ElVíl celebrates three years of residency on Patchouli Deep Radio, this milestone recognises something that goes beyond the music.

His consistency, loyalty and belief in the project from day one.

In a music scene where things move quickly and people often come and go, having someone who has been there since the beginning means a lot.

Alex ElVíl represents the spirit of Patchouli Deep: a shared passion for deeper electronic music, genuine connections and a community without borders.

Three years of Another Vision on Patchouli Deep Radio, and hopefully many more to come.
