Leonid K
London, UK
Progressive House, Organic House
The story of Leonid K begins at warehouse events in Russia in 2006. Growing up surrounded by a large vinyl collection spanning classical, jazz, and contemporary music, his early influences naturally led to experimentation with styles such as jungle, drum and bass, downtempo, and trip-hop. From early on, Leonid K was drawn to long-form DJing and sound that unfolds gradually, favouring progression over immediacy and atmosphere over impact. He believes in musical narratives that develop over time, where tension, space, and subtle shifts play as important a role as rhythm and groove.
After moving to Moscow in 2009, he developed a strong connection with deep house, playing at various clubs including Hollywood, Garage, Cisterna Hall, Minibar, Riverbass, and UFO Club, while also promoting events and earning his first residency. During this period, he travelled extensively across the country, regularly performing in cities such as Saint Petersburg, Yaroslavl, Ryazan, Tula, and others.
Following a break from public artistic activity between 2014 and 2025, Leonid K continued to expand his music collection and remained deeply engaged with electronic music culture as a listener. Returning in 2025, he resumed active DJing in London, focusing on deep, progressive, and organic house. He currently co-runs the METANOIA project, a melodic techno and progressive house event series. In a short period of time, he has appeared at events hosted at Dalston Den, Brixton Radio, UCH, 45 London, and other venues
